I tend to get many cavities and the price in the states for dental work is just to expensive. A friend recommended I go to Mexico and see Dr. Benitez. I had one extraction, a tooth filled and a cleaning. It only cost me $60.00. In the states that would have easily cost me between $200.00-$300.00. What a savings! I was treated very well in the office. The office was very clean, the instruments were sterilized, and the Dentist and Assistants all wore gloves and a mask. After seeing all of this, it made me feel very much at ease. I felt very little pain during all of the procedures. The filling was an enamel filling and they matched the color of my teeth perfectly. I do believe I received the best cleaning I have every had. Don't worry if you do not speak Spanish, because they have employees that speak English. You can bet the next time I or anyone in my family need dental work I will return to Dr. Benitez. I will also recommend him to my friends.

Since the age of 9 I have been fearful of dentists. They have hurt me most of my life and the cost for a visit is more than I make in a week, sometime a month. I heard about dentists in Mexico for over a year before I decided to give them a try. Right at first I noticed lots of people from all over the country were there in Nuevo Progreso going to dentists. There are lots of them to choose from in Nuevo Progreso and I'm sure most of them are just fine. But someone recommended Dr. Benitez to me and I am more than satisfied. The office is clean (including the restroom), the instruments are sterile, and everyone wears a mask and gloves at all times while they are working on my teeth. Even the girls helping are sweet. She made me a temporary crown that fit me perfectly. No pain (they have some good drugs in Mexico) and prices are approximately 10% to 25% of what dentists charge in the states and the work is better. My son needed a lot of dental work done. As a single mom I could not afford to have it done in my home town. We made a trip to Progresso TX just to have work done on his teeth. The savings were tremendous and I could afford to have my own teeth worked on too. It took several days, so better be prepared to stay close to Progresso if you need very much work. Usually they do root canal one day and come back the next day for crown. I appreciated the good care they gave me and my son.
